NOVICE: ages 6-8, not turning 9 before December 31, 2017 (Birth Year 2009 - 2011)
ATOM: ages 9-10, not turning 11 before December 31, 2017 (Birth Year 2007 - 2008)
PEEWEE: ages 11-12, not turning 13 before December 31, 2017 (Birth Year 2005 - 2006)
BANTAM: ages 13-15, not turning 16 before December 31, 2017 (Birth Year 2002 - 2004)

*All players will also need to purchase football cleats (some soccer cleats are acceptable)
We require an equipment deposit cheque of $500.00, not dated. This cheque will not be deposited if all equipment is returned by Dec 1, 2017.
*Equipment includes - helmet, mouth guard, bag, pads, pants, practice jersey and game jersey.
Purchase of two (2) 50/50 booklets at $75.00/booklet. Each booklets contain 25 tickets at $3.00/ticket. First draw will take place June 24, 2017 Second draw will be October 26, 2017.
*Only 2 booklets/family required
All parents are required to volunteer 8 hours per player registered throughout the year at one of the following events:
- High School Game Sticks
Deposit cheque of $400.00 per player dated June 1, 2018 will be kept on file to ensure fulfillment of commitments.

Practices are held at the Fuhr Sports Park (next to the Tri Leisure Centre) from May thru October. Novice and Atom practice 2 days per week - Wednesday and Thursday 6-8pm. Peewee and Bantam practice 3 days per week - Tuesday 6-8pm, Wednesday and Thursday 6:15-8:15pm.
As a parent of a player in SGDMFA, there exist minimum expectations that your association has of you. These are your responsibility to carry out and it is necessary for you to fulfill these expectations in order to maintain yours and your child’s membership in SGDMFA. To maintain your membership and the ability of this association to provide these opportunities to yourself and other members, you as a parent are expected to assist with the following at SGDMFA games:
-Snacks for Players
-selling 50/50 tickets
Once player has been registered equipment fittings will be appointment only. An email will be sent out approximately 2-3 weeks before season start up to schedule players for equipment. At this time please give the equipment manager the signed copy of the Player Code of Conduct and signed copy of the Parent Code of Conduct which was given at time of registration. Equipment will not be release to player until both copies are received.

In order to withdraw from Spruce Grove Cougars Football a written letter of notification must be presented to the registrar via email. Registrars email contact is found on website. No refunds after June 30 (if player registered after June 30 - 7 day grace period will be given). Refunds will be paid by cheque to person who paid original fees less $100 administration fee.
