As I stepped outside after work, I was quite happy to not be practicing on a night like this! That being said, we have a few items to check off our list before our season officially ends...
Equipment return is taking place tomorrow between 6:30 to 7:30 at the field (in the far SE corner by the gymnastics building). Same times next week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. In order to return equipment, the following must be done:
If the equipment isn't returned, your deposit cheque will be cashed, so please make a point of getting this done in a timely fashion so we don't hold the equipment managers up too far past the end of the season.
Also, it is our year end custom to pitch in as parents for a gift to thank the coaches for all the hours spent planning drills, organizing positions, and being at the field with our kids. Michelle (the Peewee manager) will be at the field to collect any money that filters in with the equipment. If she isn't there, you can leave it with the equipment guys as well. Most families contribute about $20 as we do have a fair number of coaches to buy for - your contribution is appreciated!
I haven't yet heard anything definitive about pictures. We used a different photographer this year and have been told we will get a link to his website to order when he has the pictures ready. We will need to be patient as he is apparently a one man show and not the corporate photographer we are accustomed to. As soon as I know anything solid, I will pass it on to you all. Every family will be receiving a team photo with an individual picture (similar to years past) at our year end wrap up party.
As for the end of year party, it is still being planned by the powers that be, however they do want to wait for the pictures to be ready to hand out so we are expecting a date near the middle to end of November. Again, as soon as I hear anything, I will pass it on to you. Thank you to the volunteers that offered your help, if anything needs doing I will reach out when the time comes :-)
