U16 2026 Tackle Season
Communication
We will once again be using the RAMP app for all team communication throughout the season. You should have already received an invitation to join. Please make sure you are signed up and checking the app regularly for updates, schedules, and announcements. Please feel free to reach out to us through the app.
Practice Schedule
Our regular spring practices will begin Tuesday, May 12th and will run:
- Tuesdays & Thursdays
- 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Fuhr Field
Starting June 9th, we will add our regular Wednesday practices as well.
Following the Leduc Jamboree, we will have our summer break from June 22nd - August 3rd.
Football resumes August 4th, and we will practice every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM for the remainder of the season.
Players should bring:
- Cleats
- Water bottle
- Their own mouthguard if they prefer not to use the one provided
Equipment Handout
Equipment will be handed out Tuesday, May 12 during the first week of practice.

If you would prefer to supply checks for your equipment and volunteer deposits please refer to forms for all needed information.
Players will NOT receive equipment without these completed forms and/or checks.
Parent Meeting
We will be holding a parent meeting on Thursday, May 14th at 8:00 PM on the mezzanine at Fuhr Field.
We require at least one parent or guardian from each family to attend. During the meeting, we will be going over expectations for the season, communication, volunteer requirements, and important team information.

May 18 - Elks Fan Day

- 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Parents, please take a look at volunteer opportunities and see if you can get some volunteer shifts completed early.
June 21 - Leduc Jamboree
Our annual Leduc Jamboree will take place June 21st this year (yes, on Father’s Day!).
August 22/23 - U16 Tiering Jamboree
This is a full day of games that will determine our tier placement for the regular season.

August 29 - Regular Season Begins
Please note that the regular season begins one week earlier than in previous years.
Yes, there will be a game over the September long weekend.
Thanksgiving Weekend
Thanksgiving weekend is scheduled as a bye week with no games planned unless an earlier game needs to be rescheduled due to smoke cancellations.
October 24 - Playoffs Begin
We are looking forward to an exciting season filled with hard work, development, teamwork, and fun. Thank you to all the players and families for being part of the Cougars football community.
