U16 Information Update
Hello U16 Cougar Parents!
As we move through the season, we would like to remind everyone of the importance of arriving at practice prepared and ready to participate safely.
Please ensure players come to every practice with:
• Full required football equipment
• A filled water bottle
• Appropriate clothing for weather conditions
• Any required braces, splints, or supports needed for participation
• Any required medications or inhalers. Please provide these to the trainer so they are available on the field at all times.
Player safety and well-being remain our top priority.
If a player requires taping for support at every practice, we ask that parents please provide the appropriate splint, brace, or support device, or have the player arrive at practice already taped. This will help ensure practices can begin on time and that players have the proper support needed for safe participation.
If a player is injured during practice, our trainer will assess the injury and provide guidance on whether the player can continue participating or requires further attention.
If a player is injured outside of practice, or if an injury sustained during practice continues to cause concerns and the player seeks medical attention, a medical clearance note from their healthcare provider will be required before returning to the field. This helps ensure that players have recovered appropriately and can safely resume football activities.
